Get ready for a marmalade-filled family day out as Marmalade May comes to The Paddington Store at Paddington Station on Sunday 24th May! From 10:00am–4:00pm, join us for a FREE celebration packed with Paddington fun, including character appearances, face painting, marmalade tasting, sweet treats from Brigit's Bakery and exclusive photo moments.

Visitors can also enjoy music and magical moments from Paddington The Musical as we celebrate the launch of the Paddington: The Musical - Original Cast Recording.

Whether you’re stopping by during a London adventure or looking for fun family activities this Bank Holiday weekend, Marmalade May is the perfect excuse to visit everyone’s favourite bear in the heart of London. What Makes a Great Marmalade?

There are preserves, there are jams, and then there is marmalade. A preserve unlike any other, one that has graced British breakfast tables for centuries and found its most devoted fan in a small bear from Peru. But what actually makes a great marmalade? It comes down to a few things.

🍊 The fruit matters most. Seville oranges, with their thick, fragrant peel and intensely bitter flesh, are the gold standard. Their sharpness balances the sugar in a way no sweet orange ever could.

🫙 Fine-cut marmalade is elegant and smooth; thick-cut is robust and deeply satisfying. Neither is wrong. What matters is that the peel is consistent and well distributed throughout the jar.
